Four Stories for the Cooler Months: Inside Your Fall Cellar Club Box

As the evenings turn cooler and the Thanksgiving table comes into view, your next quarterly box is almost ready to ship. Before allocations open, we wanted to give you an early look at the four bottles coming your way.

There is something particularly satisfying about putting together a Cellar Club release where each wine has a story worth telling. This fall, we have four of them: a Napa Cabernet from a truly exceptional vintage, a new chapter in the Pomerol wine that has become a benchmark for Liquid Kosher, the unexpected continuation of our Riverbench Pinot Noir vertical, and a bold new companion to the Costa Series Giandi.

Why We Follow the Vineyards

These are four very different bottles, chosen personally by our founder and sommelier, Andrew Breskin. Rather than building a box around scores or seasonal trends, each selection is a reminder of why we spend so much time following individual vineyards, winemakers, and vintages year after year.
Late autumn calls for wines that can hold their own alongside richer food and longer dinners with friends, while still giving you serious bottles to lay down for the years ahead.
Bottles with a real sense of place, wines that deserve a little attention, and the chance to discover something you might otherwise never have come across.
Whether you are pulling corks for Thanksgiving, comparing two very different expressions of Santa Barbara County side by side over a weekend roast, or tucking a bottle away to revisit down the road, every wine in this release earns its place.

The Wines

2023 Broad Brush Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2023 Broad Brush Cabernet Sauvignon

Napa Valley / California
Napa's 2023 season is already being talked about as one of the great modern vintages, and it is easy to understand why. A long, unusually even growing season gave the Cabernet time to develop complete flavor and beautifully ripe tannins without losing its freshness. It has everything we want from a serious Napa Cabernet: layers of cassis, dark berries, violet, graphite, and twenty months of beautifully integrated French oak.
We have tasted Napa Cabernets at twice the price that do not offer this much complexity or pleasure. It is full of character, ready to enjoy on a cold night with some air and a grilled ribeye or braised short ribs, and well worth putting away through 2032.
2019 Echo de Roses Camille Pomerol

2019 Echo de Roses Camille

Pomerol / Bordeaux
Echo is a wine very close to our hearts, grown on old Merlot vines averaging around sixty years of age right outside Christophe Bardeau's winery in Pomerol. Some of you will notice that we released the 2020 before this 2019. That is intentional: Christophe decides when each vintage leaves the estate, only releasing it after it has had the time it needs to develop in the winery.
The 2019 has a more reserved personality than the generous 2020: dark cherry, black raspberry, licorice, cigar box, and earth over a firm mineral backbone and wonderfully composed tannins. Give it an hour or two in the decanter for a special autumn dinner, or cellar it through 2036 to see why we hold Echo in such high regard.
2024 Timbre Winery The Rhythm Pinot Noir

2024 Timbre Winery "The Rhythm" Pinot Noir

Santa Maria Valley / California
We had planned on sourcing Pinot Noir from a different vineyard this year. Then, at the last minute, fruit from Riverbench became available, and we were able to continue the vertical that so many of you have been following with us. Sometimes the best things really do work out that way.
Josh Klapper has again captured what makes the cool Santa Maria Valley so compelling: bright Bing cherry, raspberry, and juicy plum with coffee, roasted herbs, a touch of smoke, and refreshing acidity. It is a natural match for the Thanksgiving table alongside roast turkey, duck, or mushroom dishes, and if you still have an earlier Riverbench vintage, we strongly encourage opening them side by side.
2023 Broad Brush Costa Series Five Piece

2023 Broad Brush Costa Series "Five Piece"

Los Olivos District / California
Think of Five Piece as the more intense companion to our Costa Series Giandi. Where Giandi brought together Sangiovese and Grenache with an Italian-inspired sensibility, Five Piece blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Grenache, and Merlot into something broader, deeper, and wonderfully generous.
Packed with raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, smoked herbs, and savory spice, it is a bold, warming red built for smoked brisket or roast lamb as the weather cools. Try opening it alongside the Timbre Pinot Noir: both come from Santa Barbara County, yet one is all lift, detail, and finesse while the other is full of power, texture, and exuberance.
