Four Bottles for 5787: Inside Your Fall Cellar Club Box

Your next quarterly box is almost ready to ship, and we wanted to let you in on our favorite part of the process: the long, happy work of deciding exactly which four bottles belong together inside it.

This fall, your shipment divides beautifully, with two wines from California and two from Bordeaux. Two of them are bottles you and your fellow members have been asking after for ages, and two are joining your allocation for the very first time, so there is a real treat waiting the moment you cut the tape!

How Your Box Comes Together

As always, every bottle you receive is chosen personally by our founder and sommelier, Andrew Breskin. Andrew does not build a shipment around scores or around whatever happens to be well reviewed that season. He builds it around what you will actually want to open, tasting through far more wine than ever makes the box so that only the bottles worth your table earn a place in it.
Our aim each quarter remains the same: to give you a box with real range. Two bottles you can pour tonight without waiting, two to tuck away and look forward to, and more often than not, one that will make you wonder where it has been hiding all this time.
A box of four collectibles is one that never quite gets opened, and a box of four everyday reds is one you forget by the weekend.
Andrew sends both at once, and takes care that nothing inside your box ever feels like a compromise. Every bottle earns its place, whether that place is on your table this fall or in your cellar for a night worth marking.

The Wines

Broad Brush Sorhona Blend

2024 Broad Brush Sorhona Blend

Sonoma County / Mevushal
Every box needs a wine for tonight, and here it is. Pour it for anyone at the table and watch them come back for more, drawn in by its ripe fruit, vivid aromatics, and a supple, easygoing structure that makes it a pleasure from the first glass.
It is drinking beautifully today, yet it has the backbone to hold through 2032, so open it this fall while the evenings are warm or set it aside for a night worth celebrating.
Château Castelbruck

2023 Château Castelbruck

Margaux / Bordeaux
This is the one to hold for later. Our members have been asking about it for a while, and 2023 is the vintage that brings it back. It comes from five hectares in Soussans, on the northern edge of Margaux, with Cabernet Sauvignon leading and Merlot filling in.
After a year in barrel, most of it new, you will find a soft vanilla frame around all that refined red fruit. It is powerful and elegant at once, and well worth holding a few years if you can bear to wait.
Broad Brush Costa Series Giandi

2023 Broad Brush Costa Series Giandi

Los Olivos District / California
This is the wine we can hardly wait for you to try, because Sangiovese and Grenache is a pairing you almost never see, and that is exactly what makes it such a thrill. It is light on its feet and made for drinking now, so give it twenty minutes in the fridge and pour it slightly chilled.
It has all the soul of an Italian red, savory and built for the dinner table, with a sunny California heart to carry it along. The Sangiovese brings its earthy depth and the Grenache its bright red fruit, and it is warm and welcoming from the very first sip.
Château Divon

2024 Château Divon

Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion / Bordeaux
Some wines surprise you before you've even taken a sip, and Divon is one of them. It opens with raspberry, red plum, and apricot spilling out of the glass alongside a thread of fresh tarragon you will not soon forget.
It then deepens and turns generous, where layered dark fruit and lip-smacking tannins meet a bright stream of red fruit and crisp, mouthwatering acidity. This is one to tuck away and let come into its own, and we have a feeling it will reward every bit of the wait.

Customizing Your Fall Allocation

As always, your upcoming box will come with detailed notes on the region, the vintage, the producer, and the story behind the wine.

A quick reminder of your member perks: You continue to enjoy 10% off everything else in the shop, free shipping on twelve bottles or more, and first call on allocated releases.

Because this is your club, you have complete control. Once allocations open, you are welcome to double up on a bottle you love, swap out anything that doesn't fit your palate, skip this shipment, or pause for a season. Your card is never charged until you have fully approved your customized selection.

For now, all you have to do is wait.

We are putting the finishing touches on the Fall lineup, and we will email you the exact moment your member portal is ready so you can jump in and curate your perfect box.
