Gehring Kosher Riesling – New Exclusive Winery

Exciting News – we are proud to welcome our newest Partner Winemaker to LiquidKosher. Pleased to share that we are now importing the kosher German Rieslings from master winemaker Theo Ghering of Weingut Gehring. Gehring is a family owned and operated winery that has been making Riesling and other native varietals for generations, and also a bespoke kosher collection for the last 4 years.

The Wine: Riesling is one of the most fascinating wines for novices and aficionados alike. Complex at any level, the fascinating balance between fruit, acidity, aroma, and texture is a sensory experience that appeals to the most advanced of wine lovers. But simply put, Riesling is a downright delicious wine to drink, and can be very rewarding in the cellar as well. We are thrilled to feature this new Kosher Riesling from our partner winemakers at Weingut Gehring in Germany.

About the Winery: Gehring Winery is located in the village of Nirstein in Rheinhassen district, the largest wine region in Germany located along the Rhine River known by the variety of soil types along its banks. The area has a mild climate and protected by the mountains from the west. The river has significant micro-climate effects to moderate the temperature by trap heat, and reflects sunlight. The best vineyards located between Nakenheim and Nierstein, where the soils are a reddish combination of clay, slate, iron and sand known as: “The Red Slopes” Roter Hang. These conditions are ideal for Riesling which is considered to be of very high quality with a mineral character.

The Kosher ‘Roter Hang’ Riesling will be available for purchase and delivery in December 2023. Join our mailing list to get first access.
